Next-gen electric car by Mahindra Reva

A fully automatic transmission electric car, e2o, that can clock 100 km per one full recharge of five hours was launched in the Bangalore market Mahindra Reva electric vehicles on April 3, Wednesday.

 

Chetan Maini, Mahindra Reva’s chief of strategy and technology, said the e2o is powered by lithium-ion batteries and runs on a three-phase electric motor on auto-drive mode.
Priced at Rs. 7.01 lakh on road, the e2o, weighing 830 kg, can seat four adults, including the driver .
Besides regular recharge of batteries through a 15A socket either at home or office, the battery can be recharged though solar panels too. Also, 100 public recharging points have been installed across Bangalore for emergency requirements. Revive, a remote emergency charge, is activated through the smartphone application, and can drive the car for about 10 km.
