Hero MotoCorp has added a new bike to its Splendor series with the launch Splendor iSmart 110 at a price starting from Rs.53,300 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The bike made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo and since then it’s been a much-awaited offering from Hero.
The highlight of the new Splendor iSmart 110 to be noted is the indigenously developed I3S technology. i3S stands for Idle Start Stop System which keeps the engine off when the bike is idle for more than five seconds. Then to restart, the rider needs to pull the clutch and this helps the bike to deliver good fuel efficiency.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 gets an 110cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, TOD (Torque On Demand) engine which churns out 8.9bhp of peak power @ 7500rpm and 9Nm of peak torque output @ 5500rpm. The engine gets mated to a 4-speed Manual gearbox and delivers an ARAI mileage of 68kmpl.
The bike features auto headlamps, 5-spoke black alloy wheels, split rear body grab rails, semi-digital instrument cluster, drum brakes at both the ends, double cradle frame and tubeless tyres. No new color schemes are offered for the bike. The Splendor iSmart 110 will toughly compete with Honda Livo, TVS Victor and Yamaha Saluto RX.
