New Delhi: German luxury car manufacturer Audi Thursday launched first compact luxury sedan A3 with a price tage of Rs.22.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
“The launch of the Audi A3 Sedan, the first compact luxury sedan in India, is yet another first from Audi. In line with our customer-centric approach, we decided to launch the sedan version of the Audi A3 which is a segment up from the compact luxury hatchback,” said Joe King, head, Audi India.
The A3 is powered by two engine option 35TDI and 40TFSI. Both the options are coupled with S tronic dual clutch transmission system which delivers fuel efficiency of 20.38 km per litre.
The Audi A3 35TDI is priced at Rs.22,95,000 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi) and Audi A3 40TFSI is priced at Rs.28,95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
According to the company, Audi A3 Sedan has a distinctive, coupé-like design, together with the dynamic shoulder line, distinctive wider wheel arches, striking side sill and the much narrower rear lights.
It also features a 2-zone deluxe auto air conditioning with sun position sensor, new jet turbine design air vents with spot and diffuse functions. The luxury compact car offers 425 liters boot space.
The A3 is available in both, petrol and diesel, engine options. The petrol model of the car derives its power from a 1.8-litre TFSI motor that produces a maximum power output of 177bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm. On the other hand, the diesel model features a 2.0-litre TDI unit that churns out 141bhp and 320Nm. The diesel engine is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 20.38Km/l, while the gasoline engined model returns 16.6Km/l.
