The wait for Aprilia SR150 is now over. The Italian scooter which was expected to hit the market in 2016 can now be booked for just Rs 2000 at the showrooms of some Mumbai and Pune dealers. The dealers don’t want to lose the customers as there is a lot excitement around this brand new scooter.
The Aprilia SR150 will be available in India at Vespa showrooms, but Piaggio- the manufacturer of the scooter wants to have showroom space themed differently for it. The company wants to create a distinct brand identity for the newly launched two-wheeler. Aprilia SR150 is slated to be launched in mid-august, yet the dealers are demanding 30 days waiting time.
The dealers have been heaped with enquiries and that is why they have lot of expectations from the scooter. Aspirilla SR150 will come at an initial cost of Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom), and will contest closely with the likes of Honda Activa 125 and the new Suzuki Access 125 which come at a little less price. The company is confident that a good number of buyers will be ready to spend a little more and choose SR150 for its distinct appeal.
