Hyderabad : On the outskirts of Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kanha Shanti Vanam, the global headquarters of Shri Ram Chandra Mission and Heartfulness, on Sunday.
He toured the premises with Daaji, the president of Shri Ram Chandra Mission and spiritual advisor of Heartfulness.
PM Modi went to Kanha Shanti Vanam, home of the world’s largest meditation hall, which can accommodate one lakh meditators at once.
He also planted a tree at the Heartfulness Institute’s Green Kanha Initiative and unveiled the commemorative plaque for the 125th anniversary of Babuji celebrations.
At the largest meditation center in the world, over 40,000 individuals from all over the nation and beyond physically gathered to meditate together, with many more participating virtually.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi stated that Kanha Shanti Vanam is regarded as the biggest meditation center in the world.
“Imagine the kind of positive energy that comes from this place. It is Kanha’s great service to humanity to spread the knowledge and practices of our ancient seers and yogis, which are being adopted as yoga and meditation by over 160 countries. Everyone has the right to experience the evolution of consciousness, according to Babuji Maharaj. In order to create a powerful Bharat, his successors Chariji and now Daaji are bringing about change,” he stated.
The Prime Minister observed that what Daaji is doing for humanity today is truly incredible.
“Daaji is one of the greatest souls I have met. On one hand he did a spectacular job in the pharmaceutical industry earlier, on the other he is leading by example in the field of spirituality. I feel very happy to see the heights to which Daaji has taken Kanha today as a great motivator and spiritual guide for entire mankind.”
Daaji called Modi a global leader and stated it is with his vision that India is shining.
“In order to become better people, we need to purify ourselves internally. Many of the goals are outlined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals as being imminent. However, if you really think about it, thought pollution is the primary cause of every issue that requires immediate attention. You can purge the mental pollution with the aid of yoga and meditation.”
Shri Ram Chandra Mission has been providing free meditation instruction to people all over the world for the past 78 years. In order to help practitioners experience its benefits and achieve inner harmony and balance while navigating a fast-paced world, mindfulness meditation attempts to adapt the ancient Indian traditions of raja yoga and meditation in a contemporary setting.
