Fujairah: More than 1000 Filipino expats attended the ‘Filipino Fiesta & Mega Medical Camp’, a mega event organized by Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah, at the hospital premises on Friday, February 16. The event was organized as part of Thumbay Group’s CSR activities.
Filipino expats from in and around the Emirates thronged the hospital to join the fun event and avail the free services offered by the hospital, such as specialist consultations, health checkups and medicines, as well as discounted medical services. The free health checkup services at the venue included blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI analysis. Visitors also accessed the services of the Consular Mission, at the venue.
The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest His Excellency Paul Raymund P. Cortes, Consul General of Philippines, Dubai & the Northern Emirates. He was welcomed by the Chief Operating Officer of Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah, Dr. Mohammed Faisal Parvez. He met and interacted with members of the hospital management and toured the hospital’s advanced facilities. He was highly appreciative of the hospital’s service delivery standards and the latest technology and modern equipment in use. Addressing the gathering, the Consul General also spoke about the achievements of his community. He thanked the Thumbay Group for hosting the event benefiting Filipino expats.
The event, which included Filipino cultural activities and entertainment programmes, saw an enthusiastic participation by the Filipino expat community. Visitors were also treated to a free lunch. The event honored members of the Filipino community in Fujairah, who have made outstanding contributions to the society. The Filipino staffs of the hospital were also recognized for their contributions.
