UAE: Thiya Samaj UAE, one of the prominent community organizations in the UAE celebrated Durga Puja ceremoniously at the Sindhi Ceremony Hall here, on 16 October, 2015.

The Durga Pooja commenced with the lighting of lamps by the Sumangalies, followed by Bhajana Sankeerthana by Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Mandali. Manohar and Mallika represented the Thiya Samaj UAE for the Durga Puja vidhis on behalf of the devotees in the colorfully decorated mantapa.

The Maha Mangalarathi and Puja were systematically and traditionally performed by Shri Raghu Bhat. The organizers arranged a color sketch competition for children that attracted many and hence active participation of tiny tots was observed. Later winners were honored with prizes.

A puppet show on Goddess Durga was brilliantly performed by Pallavi, attracting a lot of praise from audience. She was felicitated for her splendid performance. The other community leaders and office bearers graced the occasion with their valuable presence.

Bhajans (Devotional hymns) created a perfect devotional environment throughout the Puja. Rajesh Kuthar, a representative of Shree Rajarajeshwari  Bhajana Mandali was honoured by Manish Karkera, President of Thiya Samaj UAE.

Jagadish Kadri of Eurotech and Media representatives were also felicitated for their tremendous support and contribution for the success of the Puja. Further, Mahaprasadam was distributed to all the devotees on the occasion.

Senior member, founder treasurer of Thiya Samaj UAE, Nagesh Suvarna was felicitated on behalf of Thiya Samaj for his selfless contribution and support to the society.

All the senior members and committee members equally participated and contributed for the Puja under the guidelines of Roshan Bolar, Rajeev Billawa, Rajesh Ullal, Jagadish Kadri and others. Dharmendra Bangera, one of the active senior members of Thiya Samaj UAE compered the Puja.
