Dubai: The SVK Media LLC will stage Dhwani Pratishthanas Kannada play “Swapnavasavadatte” on January 19 at 5.30 PM at the Emirates Theatre, Emirates International School, Jummeriah, Dubai.

The original Sanskrit play of Maha Kavi Basa has been translated into Kannada by Prof. Keertinath Kurtukooti and is directed by one of the renowned Kannada stage directors, Prakash Rao Payyar.

The cast includes Vidhushi Swapna Kiran, Prabhakar Kamath, Ararti Adiga, Vasu Bayar, Shweta Sharma, Janet Sequeira, Ashok Anchan, Santosh Poojary, Gururaj Puttur, Shobita Premjit, Satish Hegde, Sandhya Ravi, Nagabushan Kashyap, Jesh Bayar, Jayant Shetty, Vinayak Hegde, Sandeep Devadiga and Deepa Maria, Padmaraj Yekkar. Arun Manipal, Udaya Nanjappa, Sai Mallika, Ashok Bailur and others are the backstage support crew.

On the occasion, well known Kannada theatre and cine actress Girija Lokesh will be honoured with the Dhwani Sriranga Antharashtirya Ranga Prashasti, for her life time achievements in the field of Kannada theatre. Ganesh Rai, Art Director, will be honoured with the “Dhwani Puraskara” Antarashtriya Prashasti, for his outstanding contribution to Indian Art and culture.
