Dubai: Surathkal parishioners residing in the U.A.E celebrated the feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, July 7 at the India Club, Dubai with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The day was full of fun and entertainment,all the parishioners where in festive mood this was an opportunity for the parishioners to unite as one family. The day started with attending the 10:15 am mass at St. Marys Church, Dubai.
Canute Pinto who compered for the day gave a brief introduction of the event. President of ESPA (Emirates Surathkal Parishioners Association). Welcome speech was given byMr. Ashok Kumar DSouza . He recalled that on this day the parishioners in Surathkal were also celebrating the Feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus and conveyed the wishes of ESPA members to the Parish Priest and all Parishioners, Which was then followed by a prayer lead by Clara Pinto and Diana LeenaPinto.
ESPA Advisor Godfrey Misquith, they read the prayerful greetings sent by Fr Antony Lobo, parish priest of Surathkal. Secretary Clara Pinto read the annual report. ESPA Advisor Mr. Valerian Almeida gave information about the charitable activities of the association.
The day long programme comprised of games, skits, dance and songs by the parishioners. Talented kids of the parish Jerusha, Fiona, Inish, Joshua, Ashlyn, Nahshon, Olan, Rian, Calvina, Aaron, Alston, Ashith, Nicole, Alston, Christon, Arhaan, Ashton, Gleonenthralled the audience with their danceperformance.
PrashanthMascarenhas, DeepakDSouza , WilsonSerrao, Valerian and Roydon took the audience to a hilarious mood with their humorous skits. Songs were sung by Ronald Lobo, Wilson Crasta, Clara Pinto,Calvina Pinto, FrankyLancy DSouza, Kevin Cutinho, Rohan DSouza, Vincent Misquithwere which was well appreciated by the audience. Olan was on keyboards and Rian on the violin once again entertained the gathering with their music and singing. The Baila session that followed was enjoyed by the youngsters to the core.
The secretary Clara Pinto expressed gratitude to all those who had helped directly or indirectly in making the occasion so amazing and memorable.
ESPA advisors Godfreey Misquith, Valerian Dalmeida ESPA Immediate Past President and Founder President Sunil Pinto and ESPA committee members William Sequeira, Gilbert DSouza, Jerald DSouza, Leena Diana Pinto gave away the prizes and the Mementos to ESPA committee members Roydon Roche, VineethCutinho, Wilson Crasta, Vincent Misquith, Romoola DSouza and David DSouza.
The enthusiasm and cooperation of the parishioners truly made the day memorable for all.
