Senior journalist Manohar Prasad inaugurates UAE journalists association

Dubai: Senior journalist Manohar Prasad inaugurated the newly formed working and freelance journalists association based in United Arab Emirates on Sunday.

UAE Exchange managing director Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Abudhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels chairman Praveen Kumar Shetty and U.A.E working journalists were present at the occasion.

In his inaugural address, Sarvotham Shetty expressed happiness about the newly formed association. He asked the association to work together to achieve the objective and in disseminating information to the public.

Sudhir Kumar Shetty congratulated the members of the association for the idea of working together under one banner. He wished the association success.

The association felicitated Manohar Prasad, for his immense contribution to society as a journalist, historian, story teller, actor and great orator. Among the several awards he received, Manohar Prasad is the recipient of Karnataka Rajyotsava award and Madhyama award.

Addressing the gathering after accepting the award, Manohar Prasad spoke about his experience in his journey in the field of journalism. “Media is a powerful tool in the society, which revives the political and administration bodies”, he said.

Praveen Kumar Setty, Harish Sherigar, film producer Shodan Prasad, Dhwani Foundation president Prakash Rao Payyar, Sharja Karnataka Sangha former president Ganesh rai, Radio Spice CEO Harman Lewis, Abudhabi Billava Balaga president Manohar Thonse were part of the occasion.

The programme was held in Fortune Plaza hotel. Vinay Nayak, representative of Namma TV Dubai welcomed and Vivek thanked the gathering.
