Dubai: Sangati Creations’ maiden venture, mega Konkani film ‘Zanvoy No. 1’ written and directed by well-known Bollywood director Harry Fernandes Barkur, is all set for release during the first week of April, 2018. It will be released first in Karnataka, Goa, Dubai and Mumbai and then worldwide.

The stage is set for the overseas audio release in Dubai on March 1 and will be held in Winny’s Restaurant Auditorium, Karama, Dubai at 8 pm. Cyril Castelino, on behalf of the producers of Sangati Creations, along with director Harry Fernandes and actor Stany Alvares, will be flying all the way from Mangaluru to do the honours.

A differently made super combination package of thrill, action, comedy, romance and high voltage drama, ‘Zanvoy No.1’ is predicted to create a new landmark in the Konkani film industry.

Director Harry Fernandes Barkur’s previous hits include Hindi and Bhojpuri films and also Konkani films like ‘Noshibacho Khell’ and ‘Sophiya’ which have made roaring news wherever released and appreciated by the audience.

Zanvoy No. 1 has the famous actress from Bollywood Varsha Usgaonkar who carries over the entire film with her charming and stunning acting skills in a new role. This is her maiden Konkani Movie and she is very happy to be part of this prestigious project. This project is beautifully designed and presented by Brihan Mumbai’s well-known trio theatre and social activists Cyril Castelino, Leo Fernandes and Walter D’Souza of Sangati Creations who has come out with this maiden venture in an attempt to keep the Konkani language live. Enabling overseas Konkani Theatre lovers to understand the language, they have added English subtitles so that the current generation of the community will find it easy to grasp the movie and enjoy the content.

The star cast includes male lead Kevin D’Mello who has worked in various Goan movies with female leads, international model Josita Anola Rodrigues who is ‘Miss South Asia Teen’ and finalist of ‘World Teen Super Model of South Asia’, supported by ‘Comedy King of Goa’ Prince Jacob, Stany Alvares, Rons London, Sujatha Andrade, Ranjitha Lewis, Lyshon Fernandes and well-known star actor of Dubai, Deepak Paladka who has to his credit six movies in three different languages of Karnataka namely Tulu, Konkani and Kannada.

Camera man Shafeeque Shaik has captured the entire movie beautifully which has been edited by Abhishek Mhaskar. The action has been handled by Sunil Rodrigues. The scintillating music has been composed by the trio Eric Ozario, Jerry Bondel and Gunwant Sen. Lyrics of the songs were penned by Jerry Bondel, Llyod Rego and Harry Fernandes. The entire music arrangement is beautifully done by Patson Pereira. Choreographer Naveen Shetty of Aryan’s has brilliantly done his job while the whole production team was carefully handled by production controller Karel Prem D’Souza, William Padhrengi and Rajesh Kudla. This movie is exclusively marketed by Deepak Paladka and team.

On January 8, ‘Zanvoy No.1’ had a successful audio & trailer release function in Mumbai’s Andheri – Marol inside the Auditorium of St. Vincent Church. Many guests from the Tulu and Hindi film industry joined and witnessed the event including Hindi-Marathi actor Ananth Jog, K.K. Goswami, and Suresh Bhandari, lead actor of Blockbuster Tulu movie Amber Caterers. Karnataka Malla editor and Senior Journalist Chandrashekar Palethadi, Antony Sequeira of Christian Chamber of Commerce, John D’Silva and P N Shanbagh of Konkinai Bhasha Mandal Maharastra, Entrepreneur Rony Goveas and the Team led by Bollywood Actress Varsha Usgaonkar were some of the guests along with the Production Unit present during the function.

It is expected that ‘Zanvoy No. 1’ will create a new generation of movie making in the Konkani film industry as well as Coastalwood. Sangati Creations are expecting the non-Konkani speaking community to also watch Konkani movies as their next venture is coming up in Tulu Language too. Currently Coastalwood is blooming with Tulu movies and this is the right time to grow the industry. Releases of various movies in the past and current, show that there is a huge market for everybody in Tulunadu and at the same time competitions pave the way to superior movie making, which is required for the current generation.
