Dubai: On the occasion of its 22nd anniversary, the Devadiga’s Sangha Dubai in association with Acme Building Materials, “Sandalwood to Bollywood”, organised a wonderful musical burlesque, with a generous sprinkling of comedy and dance that entertained all the fun lovers of Dubai.
The show was held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 5.30pm at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School in Dubai.
The program had a noble objective – to raise an education fund for financially needy children in India. The show was started with lighting of the lamp; guests and sponsors of the event witnessed the inauguration.



Several guests and leaders of te Devadiga Sangha shared the dias viz. Mr. Narendra Savalani, Mr. Harman Louis, Mr. Michael Dsouza and many others.
On behalf of all the guests and audience, Sarvottam Shetty, congratulated Mr. Harish Sherigar and extended his warm greetings to him for his extensive commitment towards humanity and the growth of Devadiga community.
Mr. Harish Sherigar presented a bouquet of flowers and memento to the guests and sponsors as a token of gratitude. Mr. Rajesh Kuttar compered the stage program.
The fun filled musical night began with a Kannada song sung by Akshata Rao and it continued with Bollywood, Sandalwood fame singers and talented local singers. Sinchan Deekshit, Ravi Muroor, Harish Sherigar, Melwyn dsouza, Joshal Dsouza, Vijay Satya Bhat, Preema Dsouza voiced the super hit songs in Konkani, Tulu, Kannada and Hindi.
The musical group lead by Raj Gopal was another attraction, also Dubai’s Gammat Kalavider rib Tickling comedy added more fun as well as dance groups lead by Prasanna and Vijay performed their amazing dance routines for various super hit numbers.
Madhu Mangalore compered the musical night program. Harish Sherigar thanked everyone for making Sandalwood to Bollywood a grand success.
