Dubai: A religious discourse by Swamy Viveka Chaitanyananda from Polali Ramakrishna Tapovana was organised here at Fortune Plaza in Dubai on November 21.

The members of Varamahalaxmi Committee Dubai inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. In his address, the seer advised everyone to follow the footsteps of Shri Ramakrishna and to help one another.

Ramakrishna Tapovan, a registered public charitable trust, was established in 2002, with its centre of activities at the sacred town of Polali, near Mangalore. It is a member Ashram of Ramakrishna – Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Parishad, advised by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, West Bengal.

Swami Vivekachaithanyananda presided over the occasion. Before embracing into monastic life with the name Swami Vivekachaithanyananda, he was a Chartered Accountant (FCA) by profession, has also done Company Secretary(FCS), Law(LLB) and masters in arts(MA Philosophy) and Phd. in Philosophy from Mysore University on the topic “Sri Ramakrishna-The Modern Prophet of Universal Religion”.

Earlier, Rajarajeshwari Bhajan team performed on the occasion. Rajesh Kuthar welcomed the gathering. Jeevan shetty introduced seer to the gathering and briefly spoke about Ramakrishna Tapovana. Ramesh Shetty, Sarvothama Shetty, Ganesh Rai, Sathish Poojary, Prasanna Shetty honoured seer on the occasion. Sarvothama Shetty rendered vote of thanks. Dinesh Shetty, Jeevan Shetty, Ramesh Shetty compered the programme. The programme was followed by lunch.
