‘Pushpanjali’ entertains Dubai’s music lovers

Dubai : ‘Pushpanjali’,  a musical extravaganza organized by Flashback events in association with Sangama Kalavidaru Dubai, in the memory of the Late Umesh Nanthoor , entertained a huge audience here on October 4.

The fun filled evening was staged at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in the presence of many celebrities and guests. MLC,  Ivan D’Souza, Tulu Film Director-Writer,  Vijaykumar Kodialbail, kannada film actress Tara, Director of Fortune group of Hotels Praveen Shetty, Managing Director of Dunes Hotel Apartments Michael D’Souza, MD of ACME group Harish Sherigar, Editor of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike, Francis Fernandes Cassia, Noel D’ Almeida along with wife of Late Umesh Nanthoor,  Shyla Umesh were present on the dais.

Guests paid tribute to Umesh Nanthoor, adorning his photograph with flowers.  MLC Ivan D’Souza too was honored.  Addressing the gathering, D’Souza said, “NRI’s are providing their extensive support to the growth of their families and wellness of their hometown which indirectly improves our state’s status”.

He also said, “the Karnataka government is highly committed to take care of NRI’s problems. Mangalore-Kuwait flight which was cancelled due to certain reasons is once again starting its service from the end of October. Mangalore passport office is redefined with customer friendly services”.  

He added, “I will also request the Karnataka govt.  to start  special units in each police station which  will  help NRI’s resolve their problems in any manner.

He congratulated the organizers of ‘Pushpanjali’ and expressed his appreciation of the contributions of the Late Umesh Nanthoor.

Vijaykumar Kodialbail too,  recalled the good works of Late Umesh Nanthoor and his contribution towards the growth of Kannada and Tulu culture in the UAE and congratulated the organizers of  the event.

Actress Tara & Walter Nandalike also congratulated and thanked the audience for gathering in a huge numbers to express their love and respect to the Late Umesh Nanthoor.

The ‘Pushpanjali’ cultural extravaganza included the rendering of famous melodies of Kannada Hindi, Konkani and, Tulu and a  rib tickling comedy by  Chidanand Poojary and his team. Famous stage artist Naveen Koppa was the master of ceremony.

Famous businessmen of UAE, association leaders of UAE and fans of Late Umesh Nanthoor were present for the  extravaganza.
