Manama / Bahrain: Kannada Sangha Bahrain organized the puja muhurat of Yakshagana play of mythological episodes that will be staged during Yaksha Vaibhava – 2013, an extravaganza of Yakshagana, heroic art undivided Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, here recently.

The Yakshagana episodes of Varaha, Narasimha and Bhargava will be staged by amateur artistes and guest artistes who arrive here from native coastal district, led by veteran artiste Kalavar Srinivas Bhat, at Indian Club auditorium, here on October 11.

Srinivas Bhat performed the puja muhurat that was organized as part of rehearsal and conveyed best wishes to the participating artistes.

The chief convener and veteran Bhagavat H K Pai worshiped Lord Ganapati with the playback singing of Dhananjay Kinnigoli and Laxmisha Kadamannaya.

Kannada Sangha president Rajkumar, secretary Rajesh Shetty, entertainment secretary Varun Hegde, Committee convener Doomanna Rai and Yakshagana lovers were present at the occasion.

Rajkumar and the office bearers of Committee urge the folk art lovers in this island nation to attend the Yakshagana extravaganza in large numbers on October 11.
