Mogaveers Bahrain organizes Tulunadu food festival ‘Atil’

Bahrain: On its 10th anniversary, Mogaveers Bahrain organised a tulunadu food festival ‘Atil’ in Gudaibiya at the Indian Club premises recently. The festival which was started along with association, has stalls with a variety of dishes of Tulu Nadu which attracts hundreds of people every year.

This time veg food items and sweets were included in the menu. Sea food dishes included pomfret stuffed with red masala, mackerel stuffed, lady fish fry, surmai fish curry, crabs dry & curry, shark fish curry, prawn masala, cockles dry, sardines stuffed and many others were served.

Leeladhar Baikampady welcomed the gathering. Vice president Sharmila Bhaskar Anchan wished all good luck for the festival.

Vittal Suvarna inaugurated the festival in a traditional way by breaking a coconut. Women members of the association led by Sunanda Sitharam Putran kickstarted the festival.

People from neighbouring Saudi Arabia too joined the festival. Games were also held for the gathering.

Secretary Rajesh Mendon, entertainment secretary Suresh Amin, Chandra Mendon, Puneeth Puthran and Padmanabha Kanchan worked for the success of festival. Pradeep Mulky, Nagesh Naik, Manohar Hejmady, Theertha Suvarna and Suresh Salyan took responsibility of the festival.

Indian Club president Anand Lobo and Naveen Mendon from Intercall sponsored the festival.

Leeladhar Baikampady thanked everyone who made the festival a successful one.
