Bahrain : As part of its decennial, Mogaveers Bahrain conducted a Rangoli and Drawing Contest at the Karnataka Social Club Auditorium at Gudaibia in Bahrain. The theme of the paointing contest was World Environment Day while the participants of the Rangoli contest had to depict Indian culture.


Several enthusiasts took part in the competitions which were inaugurated by Vincent Sequeira, President of Karnataka Social Club by painting a green tree on a white board and Leeladhar Baikampady. President of Mogaveers Bahrain by drawing a flower Rangoli.
Rajesh B Shetty, President of the Bahrain Kannada Sangha, Naveen Shetty, Chief Sponsor and Leeladhar Baikampady gave away prizes to the winners. Sharmila Bhasker, Vice President of Mogaveers Bahrain, Suresh Amin, Entertainment Secretary and Girish Idya, Programme co-ordinator distributed certificates to all participants.
Krishna Suvarna, KB Jagadish Acharya andPrasanna Shetty, leader of various organisations were present on the dais.
Naveen Mendonca, Girish Idya and Bhasker Kanchan were the Co-Sponsors of the event. D Ramesh, Sunil Shetty, Bharath Shetty,Harish Palan, Bhasker Acharya, Ratnaker Acharya and Sucheth Hejmady assisted in the successful conduct of the programme.
Lolakshi Rajararam, Doomanna Rai and George were the judges.
The programme commenced with a prayer by Sharvani Manjunth. General Secretary Naveen Karkera and Treasurer Chandra Mendon compered the programme.
