Mluru’s Vibhali Shetty honoured with Sh. Hamdan Award 2018
Dubai: Vibhali Shetty is a young girl, brimming with potential and talent. The daughter of Prasad Shetty, who is a partner in Rajab Trading Company in Sharjah and Suraksha Prasad Shetty who is a Design Manager and Senior Architect at Sea Mak Consultants, Vibhali has been striving for greatness in her own way, gathering trophies and accolades throughout her school life.
An eighth grade student of Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Vibhali was recently recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of UAE and has been awarded with the “Sh. Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Makhtoom Award.” This award is being bestowed by the UAE government since the year 1998 on academically excellent students in the UAE, who have not only topped in academics but in extracurricular activities as well.
She was also honoured by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai H H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Makhtoom at the Trade Centre Auditorium during the award function. And, in recognition of this award, Vibhali Shetty was also honoured with the “Prathibha Puraskar” during the recent 44th anniversary celebration of UAE BUNTS at J W Marriott Hotel, Dubai in the hands of Padmashree Dr. B R Shetty in a glittering ceremony.
The budding genius is an all-rounder who has also been part of her school’s parliament as a honourary member.
Having won numerous gold and silver medals by her proficiency in various UAE level Abacus and Mental Arithmetic competitions, she has also come first in Karnataka Level Abacus competitions and “Santhwanam Youth Fest 2016” folk dance competition held at the Dubai Shopping Festival’s Global Village, Indian Pavilion.
Apart from being good at chess, swimming, painting, drawing and art, and also having won plenty of accolades and prizes, Vibhali is also a good orator and has given presentations at various events.
The young all-rounder is also involved in environmental protection programmes and has even been elected as the leader of the “Green Hope–Environmental Group” and is associated with various pro-green activities.
