Dubai: Close on the wheels of an Indian driver winning AED 12 m recently, a foreman based in Sharjah and his friend struck gold on April 10, when they won the latest $1 million (approx. Rs 6.5 Crore) prize from Dubai Duty Free.

Luck smiled on Thommana, a 36-year-old Indian from Kerala who works for an automotive workshop, who had purchased a ticket bearing numbers 2465 online. It was picked as the winner during the Dubai Duty Free draw at Dubai International Airport.

The ecstatic winner said, “The prize money will be split with my friend, Francis Sebastian, who bore half of the ticket cost.”

“Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this amazing surprise! This will certainly go a long way for the two of us. My friend and I are excited to visit Dubai Duty Free tomorrow”, Thomanna said overwhelmed with joy.
