Dubai, Jan 28: The Milad Convention organised by the Karnataka Islamic Centre, Dubai was inaugurated by Asgar Ali Tangal, Honorary President of the National Committee of the KIC, UAE.
In his inaugural address, he called upon the Muslim brethren to incorporate noble virtues in life and follow the path of Prophet Mohammad.
KR Hussain Darimi who had flown in from India to take part in the convention, also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the various activities of the Karnataka Islamic Centre.
He also sought the co-operation of various Deeni organisation towards the success of the welfare activities of the Karnataka Islamic Centre and also pointed out that the KIC at Kumbra in Puttur taluk has been adopting poor and orphan kids in the society and was offering them both religious and formal education. He also stressed the need for every member of the community to honour the preachings of the Prophet and follow them in right earnest.
Haji Moidin Kutti Dibba, Nation committee President of KIC, Shakeer Hussain, MD, Genex IT Solutions Dubai, Shakib Mehboob Rehman, MD, Pride City General Trading, Dubai, Hadil Bhai of Rakh Bank Dubai spoke as chief guests and assured all possible help to the KIC educational institutions at Kumbra in Puttur.
Abdul Khader Baitadka, President of KIC Dubai Committee, presided over the function.
Sulaiman Maulavi Kallega, General Secretary, spoke on the evolution of the organisation.
A variety of programmes including elocution contest for children and rendering of Nebi Mad Ha songs were held. A Daff show by KIC members led my Mukwe Rafique and Sinan Parladka was the added attraction.
Mementoes and certificates were distributed to winners of various contests.
