Dubai :  The new committee of  Karnataka Islamic Centre, Kumbra Puttur was formed at Ras al-Khaimah recently. The  organisation operating from Kumbra in Puttur offers BA degree courses with Al Kausar religious title.

A committee was formed in Ras al-Khai,ah with the objective of the  development of the organisation. The function was held under the presidentship of Haji Muhiyuddeen Kutti Kakkinje, President of the Central Committee.

General Secretary Noor Mohammad Neerkaje gave a brief introduction of KIC.

Prof. Aboobakker Tumbay who inaugurated the programme, spoke on the importance of education which is an invaluable asset  that will safeguard an individual at all times.

The new committee has Prof. Aboobakker Tumbay as Honorary President and Mohammad Shafi Mular Pattana as its President. Zakaria Puttur is the General Secretary. There are 20 other office bearers of this committee.

Mohammadali Mooduthota, K Sihaji Kasarkod, Abdul Salam Haji Suratkal, Abdul Salam Bappalige, Mohammad Rafique Atur, Ahmed Jabir Bettampady and others were present.

The president of the Committee was felicitated on the occasion by  Moidin Kutti Haji Dibba and Abdul Salam Bappalige by presenting him a shawl.
