KCF holds interaction, free checkup on account of Word Diabetes Day

Abu Dhabi: On account of World Diabetes Day, the Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF), Abu Dhabi, held an ‘Interaction on Health’ at the Universal Hospital Auditorium recently.
General Secretary of KCF International, Haji Sheikh Bava after inaugurating the programme addressed the gathering.  He opined that it was important to create awareness among people on diabetes and its causes as it is one of the fastest spreading diseases in Asia.

He said that KCF, which has been rendering service to the society in the Gulf and Malaysia, will soon be extending its services to Britain.

KCF Inc. Vice President MNM Abdul Rashid Zaini, in his keynote address threw light on the importance of health and hygiene on religious grounds. He said that faulty eating habits are the root cause of ill-health.

CEO of Universal Hospital Corporate Health Service Dr Rajiv Pillai elaborated on the symptoms of diabetes, precautionary measures, use of antibiotics and wrong notions of diabetes.  

He advised individuals above the age of 25 to checkup for diabetes, blood level and cholesterol level once in three months.

Dr Pillai hailed KCF for the programme wherein a free diabetes camp was organised.

President of Counseling Department, KCF, Abu Dhabi Mohammad Ali, President of KCF, Abu Dhabi KH Muhammad Kunhi Saqafi, Treasurer Ibrahim were present among others.
