Abu Dhabi: UAE’s likeminded Konkani poets, in association with Kavitha Trust and Aankri.com, organized Konkani Poetry recitation programme ‘Kavi Goshti’ at Kavitha Trust Trustee, Kishoo Barkoor’s residence in Abu Dhabi on April 5.

Welcoming the gathering Kishoo Barkoor expressed his happiness on Konkani poets of UAE for stepping forward to join together and share the poems by reciting them. He said “Aankri.com & Kavitha Trust is working under the same motto of promoting Konkani poetry to the world. Kishoo wished all the poets to write more and more poems and make Konkani literature rich.

Chief of Aankri.com, poet Sannu Monis, presided the poetry recitation and presented his introductory poem. Poet PJ Karugalnade, Robin Nirude, Wilfred Fernandes, Kishoo Barkoor, Goan poet Rupali Mouzo and Kiran Nirkan presented their Konakni & Kannada poets. Konkani critic writer Nanu Marol expressed his views on poems recited by poets and expressed his happiness for choosing different subjects in their poems.

Sannu Monis thanked Kishoo Barkoor for providing the space for poetry recitation, all poets for reciting their poems, and all poetry lovers for joining the poetry session.
