Karnataka Sangha Qatar organizes socio-cultural get together

Qatar :Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) a socio-cultural organization of Kannadigas organised the get together event ‘Chow Chow Bath’ with great pleasure and splendor on Feb 7, 2014 at the AlMaha Academy for Boys, Qatar. This is the second event of the year 2K14 organised by KSQ for Kannadiga expertise located in Qatar.

The program began with “Kannada Sangha Qatar” theme song and dance lead by music director Ashwin.  The KSQ committee members were escorted to the stage along with President Deepak Shetty and Vice president Nagesh Rao.

Deepak Shetty welcomed the gathering and also updated the planned programs for year 2014 by KSQ. He said that KSQ was born for the purpose of strengthening our mother tongue Kannada and Karnataka culture. He also added that the program ‘Chow Chow Bath’ will be held to encourage the upcoming talents.

Meantime ‘Proudly Karnataka’ a Kannada expatriate directory book published by Irfan Shariff was released. After releasing the book, The Chief Guest Syed Abdul Hye said “This is a Directory of all Kannadigas expatriate residing in GCC and it is a first time in History moving towards strengthening unity in Kannadigas.” Meantime Bunts Sangha Qatar President Ravi Shetty and KMCA president Niyed Ahmed were present on the occasion.

The artistes Savious Crasta, Venkata Rao, KM Pai and Manjunath had the audience in tickles and giggles by their mimicry and skits.  The programmes was followed by solo dance from Venkata Rao, Sreedhar and Hemanth Shetty. The Bharathantyam from Sushma Sandesh and Kruthika Ashwin was applauded by the audience.

The spot games ‘Kannnada Proverb’ [Jagali Katte] was conducted by Manjunath and audience enjoyed the event with lots of fun.
The team event like ‘Dumb charades’ was conducted. Madok Prasad and Manu Prasad won first prize in the event. Ramesh K.S and Ganesh.V won second prize and Stephen D’souza and Savious Crasta team won third prize respectively.

The program was ended up with ‘Model Couple Contest’ compared by Arvind Patil and Rupa Pramod. The best couple 2014 award won by Madok Prasad and Manu Prasad. Mahesh and Suchitra Mahesh won Runner up prize in the same event.
