Qatar, Mar 4: Karnataka Sangha Qatar felicitated Karnataka government Health Minister U.T. Khader at Al-Jazeera Boys Academy at Qatar, during its valedictory function of ‘Badminton Tournament’ here on Friday.
Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) a well famed socio-cultural group of Kannadigas located in Qatar and affiliated to ICC, organising every year badminton tournament for its members.
This year also it has conducted in well order and valedictory function was presided over by Karnataka Health Minister U.T.Khader. Also, minister was on private visit to Qatar.
The felicitation ceremony was presided over by SKMWA secretary Abdulla Monu along with KSQ president Deepak Shetty, vice president Nagesh Rao, Secretary Mahesh Gowda, sports secretary Anil Boloor on the dias. The program started with the welcome and keynote address by Deepak shetty. Cultural Secretary H.K.Madhu briefly introduces the political gesture and social activities of the minister.
Khader was presented with a ‘Mysore Peta’ from Deepak shetty and was draped with a shawl from V.S.Mannagi and Arun Kumar. A memento was also presented from Nagesh Rao and Mahesh Gowda.
U.T. Khader also addressed the gathering and appreciated KSQ’s dedication and contribution towards development of Kannada language and culture and keeping alive mother tongue in faraway places like Qatar.
He also had the audience in giggles by his extra talking skill and called young generation to adopt love, faith and brotherhood qualities in life.
The programme was followed with valedictory ceremony of badminton tournament. The winners in different age category were awarded with beautiful trophies. The program was compared by Sandesh Anand and Anil Boloor proposed the vote of thanks. Tulukoota Qatar President Seetharam Shetty, BSQ president Ravi shetty, Sudheer Kumar, Aravind Patil, Divakar Poojary were present on the occasion.
