Doha, Qatar: Karnataka Based Organizations felicitated former Indian Petroleum Minister, and Karnataka Ex Chief minister Dr. Veerappa Moily here at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha on Friday morning.

Karnataka based organizations like Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Mangalore Cricket club, Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, South Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association, Tulukoota Qatar , Bunts Qatar and Billava Sangha Qatar came together as one, to honor the former minister here for his contributions to society and literature.

The program began at 11 AM with the former MCC president Sunil D’silva addressing the gathering and a welcome by MCC president Norbert Corda. Richard D’Souza read out rich list of achievements and contributions of Veerappa Moily after which  he was felicitated with a  Shawl and Memento. 

KSQ president Deepak Shetty offered his best wishes on  behalf of all Karnataka based organizations in Qatar. Accepting the honors conferred and the wishes of all present, Dr. Veerappa Moily gave a call to live with hope. 

Mrs. Malathi Moily, UAE based entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr. Ronald Colaco, Mrs. Jean Colaco, Daijiworld’s Walter Nandalike, entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr. Frank Fernandes, KSQ president Deepak Shetty, Tulukoota Qatar vice president Prakash Rao, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed, SKMWA Abdul Majeed, Abdulla Monu, Bunts Qatar president Prakash Chandra Ajila, Billava Sangha president Divakar Poojary and other organizations office bearers were present on the occasion.

Incidentally, Karnataka Sports Minister Mr. Abhayachandra Jain and MLC Ivan Dsouza were also honored by all Karnataka based organization for their great contribution to society, who were in Qatar on personal visits were also honored in the evening at the same venue.
