Karnataka artiste showcased painting expo

Qatar: Karnataka based Indian expat Sanjay Chapolkar hold two days painting expo at skill development centre Doha, Qatar on December 26 and 27, 2014.

Defense chief Indian embassy Doha Raj Kumar Singh inaugurated the exhibition. The expo featured over more than 40 paintings, which included portraits, landscapes and sketches conceived from Doha and the painters’ personal experiences and imaginations.
 
The exhibition showcased Sanjay’s talent in water colours, pencil sketches, oils and acrylics. ‘House Boat in back water’, ‘Fern Hill Palace’, ‘Ooty Land scapes’, ‘Daff Dancer’ , ‘fishing boat at wakra’  and many more portraits were attracted the viewers.

Sanjay a talented self taught painter in water colour and his passion for fine arts originated at a very young age, in his hometown of Belgaum.

Born in May 1961, Sanjay began his artistic journey under the guidance of famed artist Sri. R.I.Savant, from Belgaum and senior artist Sri.M.K.Sunkad, from Bangalore. 

In his long stay at Donimalai, in Bellary district of South India, Sanjay developed his art experimenting with colors and shades. Over time, he has honed his skills and focused primarily on the art and today is an artist specializing in water colors, oil painting, and photography.

He has a natural eye for the beauty of simplicity and the capacity to seize your attention in his brush-strokes.

He has conducted various classes and workshops on fine arts for children and adults.
