Dubai: To celebrate the 67th Republic Day of India, the Indian Cultural Society Deira Sector – U.A.E, Karnataka Chapter in association with Al Baraha Hospital conducted a blood donation camp on January 30, 2016 at Al Baraha Hospital in Dubai.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr Amel Al Amin Mohammad. On this occasion she gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation and congratulated the Indian cultural society members for their selfless social service and wished all the best for their future endeavors.

Samshu udupi President Deira Indian cultural society presided over the function and Indian Cultural Society’s Karnataka chapter General Secretary Sarfaraz Kapu appreciated their effort for organizing this camp and gathering the youth to be a part of this noble cause as life is precious on this earth.

“Each drop of blood counts much, so kindly take it as personal compassion to help unknown who requires blood with no relatives to help him or her. Make use of this opportunity and get blessings from the victim and from the almighty” he said.

Great numbers of donors participated in this event and donated blood.

Dr Zubair Humuyamn and Dr Mahamood Hussain along with their staff and Indian cultural society members enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organizations of Karnataka.

The organizers thanked everyone especially, UAE Health Authority, Al Baraha Hospital Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.

Indian Cultural Society, Karnataka Chapter’s President Ashir Chokkabettu welcomed the gathering and briefed the participants about the work of Indian cultural society.

Samshu Karnad compered the event while Karnataka Chapter’s secretary Arif Madikeri proposed the vote of thanks.
