Gulf Voice of Mangalore 5: Qatar auditions on June 10

Doha: Mangalore Cultural Association, the ace cultural association of Doha – Qatar is gearing up to host the preliminary round of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 5, on June 10, Friday at Indian Cultural center (ICC) from 6.30pm onwards.
MCA, Qatar has invited applications for the GVOM-5 auditions from Mangalorean Konkani singers above 18 years of age residing in Qatar.

The semi-finals of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season-5 will be held on 30th September, 2016 at the Regency Halls from 5:00 pm onwards. One male and one female finalist from Qatar will be selected on this day and they will participate in the GVOM grand finale which will be held in Bahrain on November 11, 2016.

GVOM which was initiated by Lawrence Pinto and Louis Rodrigues from Kuwait in 2008, has become a popular event among Mangaloreans worldwide. It’s the only Inter Gulf Konkani Reality Singing Competition.

As this opportunity comes only once in two years MCA has requested all the talented Mangaloreans in Qatar not to miss this chance and to participate in this reality singing talent hunt show ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 5’ and make use of the occasion to show their hidden talent in front of the huge crowd.

After the auditions, six male and six female singers will be selected for the semi-finals. The Gulf Voice of Mangalore competition is open to all Konkani speaking people of Mangalorean origin, holding a valid Qatar residence visa, born on or before June 10, 1998.
