Grand 3rd anniversary celebrations of Little Flowers, Mukamar

Dubai : Little Flowers Mukamar, an association of parishioners of Mukamar in Udupi Diocese celebrated its third anniversary  recently in a befitting way at the India Club.

The celebrations began  with a prayer to St Teresa, the patron saint of Mukamar parish.   A spectacular grotto set up by the Mukamar parishioners was widely appreciated. The event was  formally  inaugurated by the dignitaries by  lighting the candles  in front of the statue of patron  St Teresa.

The fun filled day with a host of programmes was  enthusiastically participated by members of Little Flowers and their families.

Raju Francis Fernandes of SPPE, Dubai, the main sponsors of the event, was present as a chief guest. In his address, he  commended the  activities of Little Flowers Mukamar and  appreciated its efforts in reaching out to the needy back in its home land.

Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld, who   also spoke on the occasion, had a word of praise for the activities of Little Flowers, Mukamar and recollected the support of  Fr Victor D’Souza, parish priest of Mukamar who has been the spiritual director of  the association.

Renowned singers of UAE  Asha Fernandes, Rony Nazareth, Harish Sherigar, Joseph Mathias talented  music composer Ajith Peter D’Souza and Nishan D’Souza entertained the  gathering by rendering super hit Konkani songs. The music was by Russel D’Souza  while the DJ Music was provided by Anil Cardoza.

There were stunning dance performances by Danica and Team winners of Mozo Desh India conducted by Mangalore Konkans and a mix-fast dance by Marina Menezes and Group.

A senior member of Little Flowers Mukamar – Lancy D’Souza,  who is also a Founder Member of the organization was felicitated by presenting him a shawl, fruits, memento and citation.

Reshma D’Cruz, President of Little Flowers, Mukamar, welcomed the gathering.Dony Correa and Asha Correa, the highly talented couple were the comperes of the event.

There were a number of spot prizes. The sponsors and media sponsors were honoured. The event concluded with a grand luncheon.
