Dubai: Flashback events, a premier host for evergreen musical concerts at UAE, is all set to present a musical extravaganza of Bollywood’s unforgettable melodies “The Classics” on Friday, November 25 at Emirates Theatre Jumeirah, Dubai.
Famous vocalist and music composer Gopi Kamath is presenting the show along with famous voices of Bollywood and UAE namely Sudakshina Mukharjee, Chirag Panchal, Ravindra Shinde and Sangeetha Melekar.
Gopi Kamath
The lead singer/musician and anchor of this show, Gopi Kamath needs no introduction. A mechanical engineer by profession, he’s made a mark in the world of music as a one man band. Residing in Dubai for the past 37 years, Gopi Kamath has performed all over U.A.E as a versatile singer, besides having mesmerized the audiences in the USA, Spain, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Kuwait, Oman, Ghana, Angola and India.
Sudakshina Mukharjee
With a degree in Microbiology and Masters in Biotechnology, Sudhakshina had the perfect pedigree to take on the world. But having been trained in Rabindra Sangeet and light music from her father at young age, she had music in her veins. While studying, she joined a local band and later performed all across India for private and corporate shows. Sudhakshina has over 100 events to her repertoire, besides having participated at famous TV Shows – Antakshari, and Channel V’s Popstar.
Chirag Panchal
Trained in Classical music and the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma, Chirag Panchal has a clean, melodious voice. Having sung at many events, Chirag is famous for bringing to life the evergreen songs of Mohd Rafi, Talat Mehmood and Manna Dey. Chirag Panchal hails from Mumbai, and is an outstanding keyboard player.
Ravindra Shinde
Ravindra Shinde has shown how passion can become one’s guiding force. He was awarded scholarship for further diploma in classical music, but he came to Mumbai instead. The biggest moment came when he won the Meri Awaaz Suno competition in 1997, awarded by Lata Mangeshkar. Since then he has been singing for Hindi & Marathi films & serials, apart from doing innumerable shows, especially at Kingdom of Dreams.
Sangeeta Melekar
With a professional singing experience of over 25 years, Sangeeta Melekar has travelled the world with her voice. With a record 50 shows in the United States of America last year in just 5 months, she has charmed audiences with her renditions of popular Bollywood tunes. She is also a favorite with Dubai audiences, having done over 15 shows in the past few years.
The show starts at sharp 7.30PM and gates will be open at 7.00PM.
