DV Sadananda Gowda: Appreciate Qatar’s Indian community for keeping Indian culture alive

Qatar: “BJP government will fulfill all its promises made during the election campaign” said D V Sadananda Gowda, the  Indian union minister of law and justice at the Intercontinental Hotel at Doha on April 13.

Sadananda Gowda had arrived at Qatar on 11th April to attend the 13th United Nations Crime Congress in Doha. He was here on  three day visit. The Indian Embassy along with three apex bodies ICC, ICBN, ICBF in association with Karnataka Sangha Qatar organized a reception in honour of the Minister.

Addressing the gathering at the reception,  Sadananda Gowda elaborated on the mile stone steps taken by BJP government.

He lauded  the Jan Dhan Yojana, Swacch Bharath Abhiyan and many more steps taken by Modi Govt which were promised during election campaign. He added, ” the BJP will try to build a peaceful and a developed society in India”.  Meanwhile he stressed that Indian expats will  benefit from the new International crime prevention Law and Pravasi Bharathi Scheme.

Tulu Koota Qatar, presented ‘Yakshagana’, a rich art form of Tulunadu, which got huge applause from the dignitaries and the audience.

At the start, the ICC president Girish Kumar, ICC secretary Divakar Poojary, president of ICBF Aravind Patil, president of IBPN KS Varghese escorted the dignitaries, Sadananda Gowda, Indian ambassador to Qatar, Sanjiv Arora and Indian law secretary Prem Kumar Malhotra to the dias.

Girish Kumar welcomed the invitees and and Karnataka Sangha Qatar Deepak Shetty briefly introduced the visiting union minister.

Indian ambassador to Qatar, Sanjiv Arora addressed the gathering and highlighted the strengths in the Indo-Qatar relationship.

Sadananda Gowda while addressing the gathering appreciated the Indian community at Qatar for its efforts and contribution to the nation and keeping the rich Indian culture alive. He specially lauded the Yakshagana presented by Tulu Koota members for creating a homely atmosphere.

The minister was felicitated by presidents of ICC, ICBF and IBPN and this was  followed by the felicitation by Karnataka Sangha president Deepak Shetty, Tulu Koota president M Ravi Shetty, MCC vice-president Prakash Noronha KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed and Bunts Qatar president Prakash Chandra Ajila.

IBPN general secretary Yaser Nainar delivered vote of thanks and reception concluded with a sumptous  dinner.
