Bengaluru/Dubai: Dubai based Bronet Group is expanding its retail footprint in India with the launch of “Stories”, a design and craftsmanship focused store that specializes in furniture, furnishings, lighting, carpets and home accessories.
Rezwan Razack, Managing Director, Prestige Group will inaugurate the store, located on 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar, Bengaluru on October 14.

Bronet, a $ 110 million group (Rs. 700 crores), is based in Dubai and has been active in the Middle East for over two decades. With a strong presence in technology and retail, the Group is well known and highly respected across Asia, from Hong Kong and Singapore to the Middle East.

Ten years ago, Bronet extended its footprint to India by entering the pharmaceutical retail business. ‘Stories’ being its second venture.

Abdul Saheer K.P., Founder and Joint M.D. says, “We have ambitious plans for Stories, which is why we are investing over Rs. 200 crores in Phase 1. Our target is to have 20 stores by 2020.”

The Group’s expertise in technology – specifically technology which makes life easier – and experience in retail –  has led to a deep consumer understanding – are found in Stories.

Haris K.P., Chairman says, “My abiding passions are travel and craftsmanship. In the course of my travels, when I saw the best in the World, I began asking why Indians have to put up with lower quality craftsmanship, poorer design. This became the inspiration for Stories.”

Stories brings furniture and furnishings created by designers from 19 countries to India. It also brings something unique: the idea of concepts for each room in a house, which blends together the work of various designers into a whole.

Stories also has a unique business model. Roby Mathew of Bloombox, the brand’s consultancy, says, “Online stores prevent consumers from experiencing what goes into their home. But no physical store can contain the whole catalogue which is why Stories offer a seamless integration of the physical and virtual retail spaces, leveraging Bronet’s strengths in technology and retail.”

Stories is already present in Kozhikode with a 100,000 sq. ft store. Bangalore will be followed by Kochi in December. Among other cities, Phase 1 will cover Hyderabad, Indore, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Bronet will then take on global and regional majors by opening in the Middle and Far East in Phase 2.

Stories ushers in a new benchmark for home decor in the country. It is the one which offers International design, world-class materials and the finest craftsmanship to Indian consumers with varied tastes and budgets.
