Dubai: UAE’s leading Mangalore based youngsters sports group ‘Coastal Friends U.A.E.’ celebrated their Annual Get Together at Bangalore Empire Restaurant, Al Karama, Dubai on 1st April 2016. The get-together was organised to bring out the hidden talents within them apart from sports in a artistic stage performance with traditional cultural show and fellowship.
Lynal and Eleveera compered the programme and invited Benson to welcome the gathering. Ullas, Delton and Avith led prayer.
Patron of CFU Jerald M. Lobo(Jerry) and Roopa J. Lobo inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp, along with a small message to group members. Jerry wished to uplift the sportsmanship in every ground, which unites people with love and brotherhood.
Later existing team captains of Ladies and Mens Throw Ball team handed over the ball to new captains and wished them great success in the upcoming season.
CFU honoured their members with a creative memento as a token of their gratitude for being supportive and part of the team in many prestigious tournaments.
Avith presented the glimpses of sports activities of CFU conducted for the season 2015-16, across UAE.
CFU also celebrated the birthdays of their team members on the occasion.
After formal stage function, CFU members entertained the gathering with Singing, Dance, karate and Rib tickling comedy skits. Many spot games were also conducted, with attractive prizes to the winners.
Children of Feat Beat Art Centre led by Arun Lobo performed on the occasion which was well-appreciated by the gathering. A sumptuous lunch was arranged as a part of the celebration. At last all members joined their steps, rocking to the beats of DJ and Baila dance.
As all good things come to an end, the event ended with a formal vote of thanks by Benson, thanking each and everyone specially for the Core Group Committee Members, along with special thanks to Feat Beat Art Centre for choreography by Arun, Bright Light Entertainment for Sound by Jason and Kiran for capturing the moments on behalf of News Karnataka Media.
