Mumbai : Donating blood is a great deed. It will save the life of a needy patient in recovering from deteriorating health or in case of emergency victim, said Swami Yoganand Saraswati. Yoganand Saraswati was speaking after inaugurating the blood camp that was organized at the leadership of Nityanand Charitable Trust, Kondevoor, in association with Mangalore based A J Hospital blood bank and A J Hospital & Research Center, here on Sunday June 30.
Swami Yoganand Saraswati commended the efforts of A J Hospital Dr Arvind and his team in organizing the blood camp. Mangalpady Nashu Rekha Shenoy in her presidential address said that voluntary blood donation by the people regardless of caste, creed and faith indeed a great deed, than the free food offerings. She also called on the people to be part of such programme.
Mangalpady gram panchayat vice president Ali Akthar and Dr Arvind shared the view that blood donating will help the body to rejuvenate. Harikrishna Gurukulam – Nainad traditional medicinal practitioner K T Shivanandan Vaidyar, A J Hospital superintendent Laxmisha Rai were present at the dais.
Gayatri Kondevoor rendered the prayers. Meera teacher welcomed the gathering. Mohandas Kondevoor proposed vote of thanks. Kondevoor health Committee president Ramachandra Ballal compered the programme. Several volunteers regardless of gender contributed their blood at the occasion.
