Ayyappa Sports Club organizes Cricket Tournament at Oval Grounds

Mumbai: Ayyappa Sports Club, sister concern of Ayyappa Seva Samiti, Fort organized Ayyappa Trophy – 2013 cricket tournament at Oval grounds, Churchgate , here on Sunday April 7.

 

The veteran hotelier and Ayyappa Seva Samiti president A B Shetty inaugurated the tournament here on Sunday morning.

Bantwal Tigers team bagged the trophy by defeating Koti Chennaya team in the final.   S V Jabri bagged the disciplined team award.  Bantwal Tigers player Aditya bagged top bowler award, while Koti Chennaya player Arjun bagged best batsman and man of the match.  S V Jabri player Raghu b aged man of the series award.

A B Shetty distributed the trophies during the concluding function held here on Sunday evening.

The entrepreneur Uday B Suvarna Sasihitlu, BJP south Mumbai vice president Kadandale Ramesh Shetty, Krishna Shetty, Shantaram Putran, Guruswamy Chandrshekar Shetty, Ganesh Shetty, Bhaskar Poojary, entrepreneur Bharat Shetty, Central Lunch Home proprietor Rajesh Hegde, Manjunat Shetty, Ashok Shetty and Bhoja Shetty were the guests of honour.

Nagesh Kotian and Chandra Naik were the umpires, while Prakash and Santosh assisted s scorers.

Subash Shetty, Kishore Karkera, Praveen Poojary and Prakash Kanchan compered the programme.

The cricket teams – Ram Monkey, S K Friends, Innanje, Veeranjaneya Friends, Bappanadu Caterer, Koti Chennaya, Sri Nidhi Friends, Ayyappa Sports, S V Jabri, Sasi 11, Kalwa Friends, Chittaranjan 11, Bantwal Tiger, Kundapur Royals, Sujata Strikers participated in the tourney.

Ayyappa Sports Club president Krishna Shetty, vice presidents H Shantaram Putran and Naveen Shetty, secretary Guruswamy Chandrashekar K Shetty, treasurer Subash S Mendon, Kishore Karkera, Praveen Poojary, Prakash Kanchan and others strived for the success of tourney.
