Dubai: The 32nd episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday August 7 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Basava Patil, Social Worker, London. Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

In the beginning of the show Floyd Kiran introduced the guest and welcomed him.

Basava Patil reminiscing his childhood shared, “My dad availed a government job and so we had to shift from our native Village to Dakshina Kannada District, which was a different transformation in my life from village to city”.

“My father promised to give me RS. 5000 a month, If I pursued my graduation. Money is what made me enter nursing,” said Basava Patil.

Nursing in India is a profession which is looked down upon and the one with least exploring possibilities, he opined.

In the ‘Celebrity Favourites’ session he expressed, “The success of every programme initiated under my leadership brings me joy where as turmoil a human comes across for being a poor impacted me too,” expressed Basava Patil on his sad phase in life.

“Whenever I am emotionally down I express it through writing and also hear poems of Sharana poets, as a way out from sadness and anger phase.” Advising the audience to work for a constructive society, Basava Patil expressed gratitude.
