Dubai: The 33rd episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s Namaste Teacher was held on Friday July 29 at 6.30 pm IST.
The guest teacher for the evening was Devendra Biswagar. The special guests of the evening were his students, Prakash Ullegaddi, Discipline Head, Oil and Gas Engineering Consultancy, Oman – Muscat and Venkatesh Jainapur

The event host was Kiran Nirkan.
Through teacher-student interaction, the series strives to highlight teachers and their impact on students. The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
In the beginning of the show Kiran Nirkan introduced the guests and welcomed them.
Teacher Devendra Biswagar shared, “I am a constitutional human and my life from the birth continued with struggle. In childhood it was the struggle to establish the existence and in career journey I continued with social activism.” He also shared the dark phases in his childhood which were the results of migration of his ancestors threatened by the British rule.
Student Venkatesh Jainapur expressed, “Biswagar sir brought me to light from darkness.”
Prakash Ullegaddi said, “Post 1983, today is the first time I am listening to sir’s voice. Hearing the same intensity in his voice made me emotional for a moment. Biswagar sir’s teaching have hekped me in having a successful career”.
Discussing the role of teachers in evolving a generation guests shared, “while entering high school life, a student will possess a fickle mind. If it is not guided then the mind will choose the wrong path and teachers role in this journey is significant. If there was no teacher, the world would be in darkness.”
Teacher Devendra Biswagar expressed, “I believe every relation in the world today is breaking into pieces but the only unbroken bond is shared between a teacher and student. Teacher should be active and should make the student active. The real teacher is the one who succeeds in involving all his students.”
The guests appreciated the milestone initiative of NewsKarnataka and expressed gratitude.
