Mysore :Revenue and District In-Charge Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad yesterday launched the specially designed logo for this year’s Dasara at the office of the Deputy Commissioner in city.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that logo for this year’s Dasara had been specially designed as done in earlier years to attract visitors from across the country and abroad and added that MCC Zonal Officers had been instructed to set up an Information Centre to ensure that visitors get first-hand information of all activities related to the Naada Habba.

Sub-Committees: Continuing, the Minister said that 20 Sub-Committees consisting 25 members each have been formed with Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha as Special Office and City Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem, SP Abhinav Khare, ZP CEO P.A. Gopal, MCC Commissioner P.G. Ramesh, MUDA Commissioner S. Palaiah, Additional DC M.S. Archana, CESC Administrative Officer Somashekar and KSRTC Senior Divisional Controller Ramesh as Deputy Special Officers.

About the Logo: Logo for 2014 Dasara depicts a decorated jumbo with howdah carrying the Maharaja, encircled by a golden ring, creepers and flowers and with a design denoting ‘Gangadabherunda’, the royal emblem of Wadiyars, the erstwhile rulers of Mysore.
