Department of Surgical Oncology of Yenepoya University organized a successful breast & cervical cancer awareness program on 21 October 2021 at Kasargod under Dr Mariam Anjum Ifthikar, Gynecologic Oncologist along with Dr Ashwini Shetty Program coordinator NSS
It was attended by approximately hundred people. A lecture was delivered with an emphasis on breast cancer screening awareness, preventive aspects of cervical cancer, the importance of pap smear and breast n oral screening strategies as well as HPV vaccination. Pap smears were also taken in the camp.
