Faithful across Dakshina Kannada congregated in large numbers to churches on Friday morning to take part in the rituals held as part of Good Friday.
The Friday before Easter Sunday is a day on which the Crucifixion of Christ is commemorated in the Christian Churches. It is traditionally a day of fasting and penance.
