“Life on Streets” Photo contest hit its second week with a growing response.
The first week saw some delightfully good photos of life on streets. With over 17 entries and 33 vivid photos, the competition has had an amazing start. Obviously the competition has just started and it will grow and get tougher.
The photos received so far cover life on the streets from a variety of angles. The feedback and the response to the competition has been tremendous and Newskarnataka.com are looking forward to an even greater response in the remaining weeks of the competition which runs until August 15th. Prizes will be announced on August 19th.
‘LIFE ON STREETS‘ is a photo contest open to all who have a creative streak in them. It is expected to capture and depict life as it passes us by on the street. The contest was launched on July 3rd at the City Centre Mall, KS Rao Road in Mangaluru at 5 PM at a brief but grand ceremony in the presence of all the three judges – Yajna Acharya, Dr Akhter Husain, and Kishan, all accomplished photographers.
The objective of the contest is to provide a platform for photographers to showcase their skills and insight – their ability to recognize those emotions that people experience every moment of their lives that make life what it is and to frame, compose and click them in a fraction of minute. This contest and its outcomes, we believe will help create consciousness about the life on the streets – the beauty, joy or sorrow that makes life what it is.
Participation in the Contest
To be a part of this contest all you need to do is submit one or a maximum three CANDID PICTURES. They must be creatively composed in that they capture life on the streets – a face, a moment of life on the street with a brief story line (where, when and how) and a CAPTION. SEND IT TO [email protected] with your NAME, Contact details and Facebook Id to enable us link the photograph. Submissions to the Life on Streets Photo Contest can win you prizes upto Rs. 30,000.
Each participant can send in as many entries as he likes but each entry can carry a maximum of three photographs. They will be displayed on Newskarnataka’sfacebook page https://www.facebook.com/newskarnataka/ which has more than a one lakh page likes, as also on the Photo gallery of www.newskarnataka.com on a weekly basis. Also don’t forget to “Like” the photos as you view them for there is also a People’s choice award.
This contest can make you rich and famous. So whether you are a professional photographer, an amateur who would like to test the limits of your skill or a student for whom photography is a hobby, this contest is for you. Send in your entries today!
