Mangaluru: The members of Vishwa hindu Parishad and Bajarang Dal will observe bandh on Monday, for government’s failure to handle communal conflict, which took place in Ulaibettu and surrounding areas on Friday and Saturday.
Speaking to the reporters at a joint press meet on Sunday, Jithedra Kottari said that the members will observe bandh and hold a protest rally from Gurupura junction at 10am on Monday. Meanwhile, there will also be bandh in the places such as Yedapadavu, Bajpe, Yekkur, Kateel, Kaikamba, Vamanjoor and Neermarga from 6 am to 6 pm.

In his address, he criticized the state government for failing to handle communal violence in the area and blamed the government for all the consequences.
He said that the clash only erupted when two devotees were hurt, after stones wre pelted at them allegedly by the members of another community. Subsequently, whe the activists wanted to approach police, about 300 people of minority religion attacked them with weapons. We condemn this, he said.
