Puttur: In a tragic incident, a MESCOM powerman was electrocuted while uprooting a tree at Parpunja near Kumbra here on the afternoon of Tuesday July 12.

The deceased has been identified as Basavaraj (26), a powerman of MESCOM Kumbra branch. He hails from Bagalakote.

He had been working at MESCOM, Kumbra branch for sometime now.
