Puttur: An incident of an autorickshaw driver being assaulted by a miscreant has been reported from Kedambady of Darbe in Taluk here.

The assaulted autorickshaw driver has been identified as Anil Kumar (22), a resident of Golthila Ariadka, who has been assaulted by one Mujeed. In a complaint it is stated that while Anil Kumar was taking a passenger on his auto from Saagu to Thingalady, Mujeed followed him in a car, blared horn, overtook Anil, verbally and physically abusing him.

Anil Kumar has been admitted to Government Hospital in Puttur.
