Mangaluru: A young person was fatally stabbed by an individual while returning home after playing with friends in a field in the Kalavaru area, within the jurisdiction of the Surathkal police station.
The young man who sustained injuries has been identified as Safwan (23), hailing from Bajpe Kalavaru Shantigudde. He suffered stab wounds to his neck, hand, and back but fortunately avoided serious harm. Later he was taken to a private hospital in Bajpe and subsequently transferred to Mangaluru for further treatment.
Safwan, while returning home after a playtime with his friends, was reportedly attacked by a local youth. There has been a recent history of assault cases involving individuals under the influence of alcohol in the Kalavaru area, raising suspicions that this stabbing incident might be connected to these ongoing issues.
