Haveri: In a tragic incident at Chowdaiahdanapura here in the district, two youth who went fishing in a river drowned in the evening on Sunday August 29.

The deceased have been identified as Pakkiresha Honnappa Mannura (23) and Yellappa Pakkirappa Kumbara (34). Both were residents of Guttalapattana here.

A search operation has been launched and the bodies are yet to be fished out. Ranibennur Rural Police Station has registered a case.
