Four people were tragically killed and ten others injured in a devastating road accident that occurred early this morning near Sevanagar Tanda in Bhalki Taluk of Bidar district.

The incident involved a head-on collision between a lorry and an Ashok Leyland pick-up, resulting in immediate fatalities. Reports indicate that the accident happened as the victims were returning from a funeral, near Sevanagar Tanda in Bhalki Taluk of Bidar District.

The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at BIMS Hospital in Bidar. Shockingly, all the deceased individuals are residents of Udgir in Maharashtra, identified as Dastgir Davalasab (36), Rashida Saik (41), Ashok Leyland pick-up driver Wali (31), and Amam Saik (51).

The tragic accident involved a total of 14 people who were traveling to Udgir Ninda Hyderabad in the Ashok Leyland pick-up. Among them were six women, five men, and three children.

The collision occurred around 4:30 am in the jurisdiction of the Dhannur police station. Bidar District Superintendent of Police, Channabasavanna Langoti, visited the scene of the incident to assess the situation and inspect the site.

This unfortunate incident has brought immense grief to the families of the deceased and serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
