The forest department announced on Saturday that a 22-year-old man was injured in an alleged tiger attack in a village in Chamarajanagara district.
Mannu sustained injuries to his neck and hands and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Mysuru. The incident occurred on Friday around 6.30 pm in Honakanahalli village, according to forest department officials.
The tiger, approximately two years old, attacked Mannu when a group of people approached the animal, which had sought refuge in a farm. Despite attempts to tranquilize it, the tiger managed to escape into another farm.
As people attempted to chase the tiger away, it attacked Mannu before fleeing into the forest area. Mannu, though injured, is reported to be in stable condition and undergoing treatment.
