Udupi: Today marked the inauguration of the brand-new air-conditioned headquarters and MSC (Multi-Storage Complex) warehouse for the Shirva Co-operative Agricultural Society.
During the inauguration of the security room, MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty emphasized the exceptional success of the cooperative sector within the public domain. He highlighted the significant contributions of individuals like Molahalli Subramanya Bhat, T.M.A. Pai, Karamballi Sanjeeva Shetty, G.S. Acharya, and others who played pivotal roles in advancing the cooperative sector in our undivided district many decades ago. He noted that the principles and policies set forth by these visionaries continue to serve as the guiding principles for today’s society.
During this event, Kuttyaru Prasad Shetty, the President of Shirva Co-operative Agricultural Society Ltd., chaired the proceedings. Also in attendance were Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, President of Udupi District Co-operative Union, Bola Sadashiva Shetty, President of Udupi District Co-operative Bharathi, and Savita Rajesh, the President of Shirva Gram Panchayat, among others. Additionally, representatives from the Dakshina Kannada District Central Co-operative Bank in Mangaluru and the Karnataka State Government Marketing Mahamandal in Bengaluru were present.
